Most conversations about digitising India’s offline businesses start and end with an app. A customer taps a button, books a service, pays online, done. That’s the part that gets funded, demoed, and written up. It’s also, honestly, the easy part. The harder and far more interesting shift is happening somewhere less visible, in how these businesses actually run once the booking comes in, and India’s fabric care industry is turning out to be one of the clearest places to watch it happen.

India’s laundry services market is sitting somewhere around 2.7 billion dollars right now, with dry cleaning adding roughly another 1.3 billion on top, and both segments have been growing steadily year over year.
