The creative industries have entered a period of major transformation. Today, the line between creative expression and technology has narrowed. All artists are technicians, and all technicians are artists – and both must understand the business of whichever creative industry they are a part of.

Artificial intelligence, immersive experiences, virtual environments, advanced design software and data-driven tools are fundamentally changing creative workflows and career requirements. And hence, students need to understand not just how to use these tools – AI or otherwise, but also where, why and when to apply them to have the best impact on authorship, creative decision-making & storytelling.

Hence, creative education cannot be only about teaching students about individual software or AI tools. It has to be more about fundamental imagination of creative expression. Furthermore, Technology companies should not simply become vendors...
