‘Backrooms’ Is Coming to Streaming: How to Watch A24’s Horror Hit

Backrooms takes place in a labyrinth of odd, seemingly inescapable rooms, beyond a mysterious door located in a furniture showroom. The liminal horror film took theaters by storm, and the movie phenomenon now has a streaming date.

Backrooms, which was inspired by a niche internet story known as a “creepypasta,” was helmed by first-time feature director Kane Parsons. The 20-year-old phenom first brought the idea to life as a series of creepy shorts on YouTube four years ago.

Grossing over $350 million globally, Backrooms is A24’s most successful movie release to date.

Backrooms stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Lukita Maxwell, Avan Jogia, Finn Bennett, Mark Duplass and Katherine Isabelle.
