AT&T Issues Urgent iPhone 18 Pro Max Warning Over Cellular And 911 Glitches

Apple’s latest flagship phones, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, launched last month bringing with them the company’s latest chip and some blazing fast battery charging. However, the launch has been far from smooth for iPhone 18 Pro Max owners on AT&T’s network, who’ve been running into a myriad of issues when attempting to makes calls, send or receive texts, and even contacting 911.

The first signs of trouble popped up on the ATT subreddit, where a new iPhone 18 Pro Max owner shared that the phone would constantly drop into SOS mode, which indicates a loss of service. After insisting on escalating the issue with AT&T customer support, a representative shared that “this is a known issue that AT&T and Apple are currently investigating.”
