Are forward deployed engineers flirting with failure?
The AI adoption puzzle is far from solved, as data safety issues, mounting costs and talent shortages plague enterprise efforts to scale use cases. Gartner expects the current wave of FDE interventions to fall short. Roughly 70% of vendor-led AI engineering excursions will be abandoned by 2028, according to the analyst firm, which used IT services company data, client consultations and proprietary modeling to assess the FDE landscape.
