Arduino UNO Q Gives DOGZILLA S2 an AI Brain
The Arduino UNO Q is designed to bring Linux, AI acceleration, and real-time microcontroller control together on a single board, and Robodog V2.0 is a good example of what that combination makes possible. The project upgrades the Yahboom DOGZILLA S2 by installing an UNO Q as its primary computer while leaving the robot's original motion controller in charge of driving the servos. This gives the quadruped computer vision, a browser-based control interface, and onboard sensors without changing the hardware responsible for walking.
The project builds around DOGZILLA's existing architecture. The original servo controller remains connected using Yahboom's UART protocol, while the UNO Q takes over as the robot's main computing platform. The board combines a Qualcomm QRB2210 processor running Debian Linux with an STM32U585 Cortex-M33 microcontroller, allowing Linux applications and deterministic real-time control to coexist on the same hardware.
