Apple Price Increase: How Much Every iPad, Mac and Home Device Costs Now
It's a bad day for folks looking to upgrade their Apple devices anytime soon. The $4 trillion tech company announced on Thursday that it's raising prices on a wide array of products, from iPads to Macs and home devices. The whopping price increases range from 18% to nearly 33%, and refurbished devices also got price hikes.
One of the bigger sticker shocks is with the MacBook Neo. Released earlier this year, Apple touted the new laptop as its budget-friendly Chromebook competitor, perfect for students. Now, you'll have to shell out $699, a $100 increase from its initial $599.
Outgoing CEO Tim Cook hinted earlier this month that price hikes were in the works, calling them "unavoidable." He pointed to the boom in artificial intelligence and its corresponding compute requirements.
