AnyPS5 Project Targets Running All PlayStation 5 Titles On Your PC
PlayStation 5 emulation on the PC is an ongoing effort. The most noteworthy of the current emulators are KytyPS5, SharpEmu, and perhaps AnyPS5. AnyPS5 is somewhat different than the others, however, because it is technically not a PlayStation 5 emulator at all.
Rather, AnyPS5 is a PlayStation 5 translation layer that's designed to port PlayStation 5 executables into a format usable by Linux or Windows, similar to what Proton does for playing Windows games on Linux.
AnyPS5 is in very early stages of development at this time, and it has yet to successfully launch a PS5 game on a PC, but if the developers are successful, it could be a better all-around solution.
For reference, KytyPS5 functions as a more traditional emulator, which comes with high overhead. Despite this fact, KytyPS5 does already offer some impressive results. The most noteworthy of which is emulating the PS5 version of Grand Theft...
