Anthropic Unveils Claude Duet With 6,000+ App Integrations
Anthropic has introduced Claude Duet, a proactive AI agent designed to move artificial intelligence beyond conversations and into everyday business operations. The new platform can monitor connected applications, identify tasks requiring attention and execute work in the background, even when users are away from their devices.
Announced on October 21, 2026, Claude Duet is available through a research preview waitlist for Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the United States. The platform is offered as a standalone application for iOS and Android, as well as through claude.ai.
Built around Claude Opus 5.5, the launch signals Anthropic's growing focus on agentic AI, where systems move beyond responding to prompts to independently coordinating tasks across multiple business applications.
Unlike conventional AI assistants that largely depend on user instructions, Claude Duet is designed to proactively identify priorities, monitor workflows and notify users when decisions or intervention are required.
