AMD And Anthropic Tie AI Infrastructure To Long-Term Growth
AMD and Anthropic have announced a strategic partnership that combines large-scale AI infrastructure deployment, software co-development, and a planned equity investment.
The race to build AI models is no longer defined only by algorithms. Increasingly, it is being shaped by access to compute infrastructure. As generative AI adoption accelerates across enterprises, cloud providers and AI labs are competing to secure enough computing power to train larger models and serve a growing user base. Building AI Infrastructure At Gigawatt Scale
Under the agreement, Anthropic plans to deploy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs through AMD's Helios rack-scale systems. The first 1 gigawatt deployment is expected to begin in the first half of 2027.
