AI Token Usage At a Glance with a Handy Homemade “Fuel Gauge”
I’m still very much on the fence about AI, but I do use it for projects to help with research and even boring coding that I don’t want to do myself. When I hit my usage limit, it always seems to happen at the most inopportune time — like right when the AI is halfway through telling me the answer it found to a tricky problem. Cybernetic_Sasquatch had the same problem, so he created the Gemini AI Fuel Gauge to keep tabs on his token usage.
This is really just a physical display for one single datum: the number of remaining tokens available to the targeted account. You could show the same thing with a simple widget on your computer desktop, but there is always something better about a display that exists in meat space. And though Cybernetic_Sasquatch built this specifically for Gemini AI, the same concept would work...
