Software testing has already moved through several generations of automation, from scripted test cases to continuous testing and AI-assisted quality assurance. Agentic AI introduces a different proposition: systems that can interpret a testing objective, generate tests, execute them and adapt their approach as applications change.

That shift could change both how enterprise software is tested and the role of QA teams themselves. At the same time, testing AI-driven and probabilistic applications raises new questions around reliability, governance and where human judgement must remain in control.

In this conversation with CIOL, Robin Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of TestZeus, discusses how agentic testing differs from conventional automation, the risks of self-healing systems, the changing role of QA professionals and the company's journey in enterprise software testing.

Software testing has already gone through several waves of automation. What is genuinely different when testing becomes agentic?

Testing tools have gone through several waves of...

Quote of the day by ex-OpenAI chief scientist and SSI co-founder Ilya Sutskever: 'AI will keep getting better and the day will come when AI will do all the things that we can do' — a staggering prediction about a future superintelligence

The pace of growth in AI has been fast since ChatGPT debuted in November 2022, and many predict the current neural network-based technology can one day scale up to outperform humans. This has long been a theorized possibility in the industry, but might we finally have the technology to realize
