AeroPress Drops a Stainless-Steel Version of Its Iconic Immersion Coffee Maker, and I Tried It
AeroPress is a favorite among coffee snobs who find themselves in places where plugging in an electric coffee maker isn’t an option. These portable immersion brewers function like a French press but in a super-portable, tube-style design. One hesitation some have about the system is the amount of plastic your coffee touches throughout the brewing process — which is to say, a lot.
Not so with the brand’s latest launch.
Let’s not bury the lede: AeroPress’s new Stainless Steel 3-in-1 Coffee Press will run you $170. That’s a serious sum for a fully analog, non-electric coffee setup, and I’m not going to bury that fact several paragraphs deep only to spring it on you later.
