Acer has announced the Swift Blade 14, a 14-inch Windows laptop that weighs just 799 grams (1.76 pounds) and measures 12.9 millimeters (half an inch) at its thinnest point. This makes it nearly a pound lighter than Apple’s 2.7-pound 13-inch MacBook Air, potentially making it a worthy competitor for users who want a lightweight laptop for school, work, and other on-the-go lifestyles.

The Swift Blade 14's chassis uses carbon fiber on the top and bottom covers and a magnesium-aluminum alloy for the keyboard deck, helping the laptop maintain durability while keeping its overall weight low. It's available in two colors, Marshmallow White and Marshmallow Blue.
