A Green Import Report Is Not a CRM Cutover Test
Imagine a migration rehearsal with a reassuring result: every expected deal has arrived, the import error queue is empty, and the pipeline total matches. Then someone opens a renewal. It belongs to the wrong subsidiary.
Nothing in the import summary has to turn red for that to happen. The wrong association can coexist with the correct record count and the correct amount.
That is the gap I would put at the center of a CRM cutover review. Moving a record and preserving its business meaning are different tests.
The examples below are hypothetical design exercises, not customer results. The proposed checks apply across CRM platforms; HubSpot documentation supplies concrete examples of implementation boundaries, not a recommendation to migrate to it.
