A billion pallet scans in, Dexory makes the case for warehouse data that never stops

Part one of this series covered how Dexory builds the robots. This part is about what they produce, and what Dexory does with it. After the tour around Dexory's factory looking at the physical robots, CEO and Co-Founder Andrei Danescu shows me a demo of what the platform looks like. We start with the robot moving down an aisle. On screen, the 3D point cloud builds in real time as it goes – the shelving reconstructed location by location, each cell color-coded by status. Hover over any one of them and a panel opens, with photographs, barcode data, fill level, occupancy status, the full history of what has been stored there across every scan. Danescu points out:

This is processed live as the robot is moving through the warehouse. And this dataset forms the backbone of everything else we do.
