99% of Indian Organisations See Cyber Recovery Gaps as AI Threats Evolve: Cohesity

As artificial intelligence becomes embedded deeper into enterprise systems, cyber resilience is facing a dual challenge: attackers may gain faster and more automated capabilities, while organisations themselves are adding AI applications, agents and workflows that also need to be protected and recovered.

Nearly all Indian organisations surveyed by Cohesity believe their cyber response and recovery plans would need some modification to remain effective in scenarios where frontier AI models accelerate and automate cyberattacks.

According to the fifth annual Cohesity Global Cyber Resilience Report, 99% of Indian respondents said their existing plans would require some change under such scenarios. Of these, 41% expect significant changes to be necessary, while another 44% anticipate moderate changes.

The findings come against an already difficult threat environment. Around 83% of Indian organisations surveyed said they had experienced at least one material cyberattack during the previous 12 months.
