One week after launch, GPT-6 Luna and Sol are already running in clouds, code editors, invoice pipelines, trading agents, whisky classifiers and CI bots. Here are the real ones, sorted by what you are trying to build.

OpenAI released GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna on September 22, 2026. Sol costs $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, and it is aimed at coding and agent work. Luna costs $0.10 in and $0.50 out, and it is aimed at high-volume extraction, summarizing, classification and routing. Both are about half the price of the GPT-5.6 models they replace, and cached input is 90% off (OpenAI, VentureBeat).
